Lumen 1.2.0 · string, list & math tools

Lumen on your computer

Install once and lumen becomes a real command in any terminal — PowerShell, Command Prompt, Terminal or bash. Run .lum files or code live in the interactive shell.

Notepad++

Write your program and save it as hello.lum, not .txt. Import the Lumen language file from Language → User Defined Language → Define your language → Import, then restart Notepad++. The file adds highlighting; the terminal runs your code.

lumen "C:\path to your code\hello.lum"

Notepad++ Run → Run:
cmd /k lumen "$(FULL_CURRENT_PATH)"

GitHub & Codespaces

Commit your .lum files and lumen.cjs to your own repository. The kit includes a GitHub Actions file at .github/workflows/lumen.yml that runs hello.lum on every push or pull request. In Codespaces, run the same command below.

node lumen.cjs hello.lum

Use .cjs inside repositories that use JavaScript modules. Node.js is required; no Lumen account is needed.
